Petrified Forest National Park

Petrified Forest National Park is a driving park that also includes the Painted Desert in its section north of Route 40. The park contains badlands, ancient pueblos, petroglyphs, and, of course, petrified forests. You can drive through the park, stopping at the various features, in probably an hour or so.
