Mammoth Cave National Park
Upon organizing my 2022 road-trip around hitting National Parks, Mammoth Cave was the first one on my way south from Akron, Ohio. My only other experiences with caves are with the ones on South Bass Island in Lake Erie. While walking around hundreds of feet below the surface with a bunch of strangers isn’t the first thing that comes to mind for a good time, it was fascinating and had me looking forward to a visit to Carlsbad Caverns later on in my road trip.
