Lake Mead National Recreation Area
Lake Mead National Recreation Area straddles the borders of Nevada to the west and Arizona to the east via the Colorado River which then passes on to the Grand Canyon in northern Arizona. The primary feature of the park is the lake, of course, which was at a historical low when I visited. While visiting in May 2022, I hiked the Historic Railroad Tunnel Trail that travels through five old railroad tunnels while providing great views of Lake Mead below. It can be taken all the way to Hoover Dam, but I turned back after the final tunnel.

- Hoover Dam It was impossible to get a picture of the dam while I was on the dam.
