Crazy Horse Memorial
The first time I ever heard about the Crazy Horse Memorial was in a magazine. It featured a drawing of what the final sculpture would look like, along with a scale depiction of Mount Rushmore resting on the extended arm of Crazy Horse. It was hard to believe it could be that big. At some point, my brother talked about visiting the memorial and that’s probably when I got it in my head to see it myself. The facility has more to offer than the sculpture, which appears like it will be under construction for the duration of our lives. There is a museum of Native American culture, a theatre and a restaurant on site.

- 071-Crazy-Horse This shot gives you an idea of how far away the viewing deck is at the visitor center.
- 070-Crazy-Horse This was a fortunate shot because the clouds were pretty much solid, but some breaks in the clouds came just as I shot the picture.

- As you can see, you don't get that close to the actual sculpture, but then it's half of a mountain.
